Thanks to Baz I won a rather nice bunch of machines which includes a BBC Model B. What I like about these is that they are like a kinder egg, you never really know what mod or ROM set you are going to get. Anyway this one I have has a 64k memory module inside. It is connected to the Tube port and expansion port. Whatever external unit utilised the memory is long gone, I suspect this was a business unit maybe for sales order processing. Anyway I was just going to reverse the mod as the additional memory cannot be accessed but I wondered if anybody knew how I could get the beeb to see the memory without using the Tube port? Probably not but worth asking. Cheers.
Mod it, mod it, mod it, mod it, all you got to do is mod it!
Very nice, Al. Really pleased it worked out for you and as you say, you never know what you're going to find 'under the bonnet' as regards installed ROMs. I'm not sure if we have a recognised Beeb expert on Atari Sector... I'd be tempted to drop The Corfiot a PM on Amibay, mate. Let us know how you get on and also - give us a breakdown of the CBM64 swag you also secured! Good work, mate.
