For those Oricians who like a bit of retro action with a touch of Tourettes thrown in, here's John Gage's review of Xenon-1 (only joking, John - you should hear me when I'm playing ANY competitive game on the Atari... I make you sound positively saint-like! LOL )
ABOVE: John giving Xenon a blast - all acknowledgements given to John Gage.
Yeah, I watched that vid today. Not a bad review with John's usual splattering of bad language - just my style! At least the keyboard controls didn't give him a false (negative) impression of the game as happened when he tried to review Zorgon's Revenge and got caught up in the Oric-1 keyboard layout issues that don't translate well to a modern keyboard - think he rated Zorgon at 3/10 as a result but I'm sure he'd have gone much higher, had he'd found he instructions.
ETA: Someone needs to suggest he reviews Damsel In Distress by IJK and watch him try to reach the second key, let alone complete a level. I think the language would be at his most colourful. A cruel suggestion, perhaps, but a bloody funny one to watch.
It'd be nice to see a review done by someone who wasn't the worst game player. This one hardly qualifies as a review. He does say something along the lines of 'Nice colours' at one point, but it doesn't really count. I wonder if he's ever looked at a game before he 'reviews' them?
