Quick tutorial videos are definitely needed and are long overdue. I actually began recording the first (setting up an emulated 1088XEL in Altirra) in January, but ran into some bugs in the loader and that sparked a six week coding marathon which is only just coming to a close now. The bugs (which were entirely cosmetic) didn't take six weeks to fix, I must add, but I suddenly got a lot of ideas about how the pending firmware update could be improved and it required a heck of a lot of coding and testing. Some quite cool stuff has come out of it, like using the SIDE2 to run patched OSS carts (BASIC XL, BASIC XE, ACTION! and MAC/65) alongside the U1MB/SIDE HDD, thus lessening the pain of the blocked cartridge port. I'm sure more patched ROMs will appear in the future.
In any case: a picture (especially if it moves and has audio) is worth a thousand words, and I can bang on all day here about how easy stuff is to set up, but the easiest way to demonstrate it is to just film it.
Of course I've been updating the manual(s) as well, and changes to the website will be needed. It's been quite a slog, but I think the work has paid off and the new features are worth showing off.
